        • Peer group meeting
          • This took place in the week beginning 2010-10-04.
          • Everyone got familiar with each others topic and caught up about progress over the summer.
          • Next meeting to be arranged.
        • Elevator Pitch
          • I encouraged all to practice this
        • Progress over the summer
          • Sarah focussed on literature review and is trying to figure out how to get all data into the same spatial framework.
            • The following data might be useful in place of OS AddressPoint:
          • George went to some Travel Agents, but did not have a very positive experience
            • I reminded George that I scraped some house price sale data if he wants to use it.
          • Tom I met with previously this academic year and has a good grasp of what to do.
          • Charlie I met with previously this academic year and is getting to grips with the scale of this work.
        • Documentation
          • Andy has not seen all the module documentation but will be able to see the VLE based documentation from tomorrow
        • Assessments
          • Two Interim reports worth 10% each and the final dissertation worth 80%
        • Meetings
          • Peer meeting routine established
            • Make sure to take notes
          • Next group meeting with mentor after assessment of first interim report
        • Feedback
          • ...
        • AoB
          • I encouraged everyone to think about putting information about what they are doing on-line and offered to help with this.
          • Making maps and getting help
            • I am very limited in terms of what feedback I can give on work that is to be assessed.
            • Although I am happy to help if people get stuck making maps, I won't have much time to spend doing this.
            • I recommended the use of ArcGIS over MapInfo because I can probably help more with ArcGIS problems.
    • 2010-10-04 Emailed students a group update and to arrange group meeting in week beginning 2010-10-11
