Project title
Exploring social action in south Leeds
Project overview
The overarching aim is to explore the relationship between this community and cultural hegemony. In particular how collective social action challenges cultural hegemony in relation to capital and poverty. To explore how community attributes inter-relate with culture, place and social action to create different ontological frames of understanding.
Aims/objectives
Through community ethnography I will explore the complexities of social action in the community. How dominant narratives on poverty and capital are being challenged through collective social action in communities, via everyday forms of politics.
