RESEARCH OVERVIEW

My research interests focus on the Quaternary history of ecosystems, in particular human-vegetation interactions. My fieldwork takes me to quite different environments and I am currently working on several projects (not all of which are listed here).

CURRENT PROJECTS

Impacts of settlement on the environment of Iceland and the Faroes.
Currently working on a number of sites from Mývatnssveit, northern Iceland, and publication of data from the Faroes is in progress. Part of the Leverhulme-funded "Landscapes circum-Landnám" project and NABO (the North Atlantic Biocultural Organisation).
