New Models of Regeneration in London

My research investigates new models of urban regeneration in London, with a particular focus on public housing. Analysing the regeneration strategies and models adopted by local authorities, the research will build a comprehensive picture of the new ‘innovative’ methods, partnerships, vehicles and financing that are being used to deliver regeneration in the capital. Public housing and the public estate more broadly are increasingly seen as a vital component in resolving London’s present housing crisis. This dissertation will investigate how this is being translated into practice, for local authorities, investors, developers and London’s population, and will produce clear ‘best practice’ recommendations to influence policy.
