Project title
Evaluating Flood Hazard Impact to Community Resilience in an Urban Area
Project overview
Infrastructure development such as buildings and roads is an indicator of development progress in the region. As a benchmark of development, the resilience of infrastructure built in disaster prone areas and community preparedness capacity should be measurable. The direct effect of the disaster is the change in the value of land and the value of infrastructure in the area. This research will discuss spatial relationships, community preparedness, and intensity of flood disaster to the value of land and infrastructure value.
This study focuses on the relationship between flood disaster and social and economic aspects of infrastructure resilience both physically and from the value of infrastructure to the community. With the help of Geographic Information System software, a profile analysis of a flood affected area will be analyzed, and how people affected by the flood will adapt to the condition.
