The are two sets of web pages that are useful to illustrate some of the points in the previous text. First there is a whole series of pages designed to help the MAGIS students get to grips with GIS. Secondly there is an example of a research application where by GIS software used to model the potential locations of nuclear waste dumps.

The purposes of these pages is to allow individuals access to information concerning the location of nuclear waste disposal sites and to allow the user identify potential sites.
