Field Equipment

School of Geography, University of Leeds

We have a range of field environmental monitoring facilities that are available for hire or for use on research and consultancy projects. These include the very latest solar and battery powered data loggers, soil, air and river water quality monitors, lake/reservoir water level recorders, ground water table recorders, water velocity probes, and topographic survey equipment.

Our field sampling equipment includes facilities for directly logging data in the field over short or long periods (months to years) and for hand-held sampling of environmental variables.

The following field equipment is available:

In addition we have a range of other field equipment such as soil corers, surveying and environmental measurement instruments available for use. So please ask and we may have just what you are looking for!

We currently have loggers and probes located across the world and our expertise ranges from glaciated environments to wetland peat bogs and to arid zone environments, tropical rain forests, mining sites and nuclear installations.
