Centre for Spatial Analysis & Policy – PhD projects

The Centre for Spatial Analysis and Policy supports wide-ranging research interests in quantitative geography. In particular research interests include population dynamics, migration, geodemographics, retailing, crime,education and health. We have specific expertise in analysis and modelling methods including microsimulation, agent-based modelling, spatial interaction models, AI techniques, demographic estimation and projection, and applications of GIS.

Applications to do postgraduate research in any of these areas are welcome and you can submit your own research proposal or contact staff to discuss the projects below. Most of the projects listed do not come with their own funding so you will need to apply separately for funding/scholarships. Possible funding sources are listed here
