SEXUALITY AND SPACE SPECIALITY GROUP OF THE AAG
The Sexuality and Space Specialty Group (SXSP) is one of the fifty-one established specialty groups of the Association of American Geographers. The group was formally established in 1996 and is currently hosted at the School of Geography, University of Leeds.
Our objectives are as follows:
- To encourage geographic research and scholarship on topics related to sexuality.
- To promote educational ways for communicating geographic perspectives on sexuality that will inform both curricular and pedagogical needs.
- To promote interest in geography on issues related to sexuality.
- To promote the exchange of ideas and information about intersections of geography and sexuality.
