Summary:

There is a growing recognition that the management of land and water cannot continue in isolation. Their management must be integrated and treated holistically. It is recognised that the gathering of information to stakeholder perception and the historical context is part of a larger drive to understand the causes of change on the Ings so as to facilitate effective practical management.
