• 2000-2001: Imperial College London MSc in Science Communication with Distinction
• 1996-2000: Clare College, University of Cambridge Ph.D. “Millennial scale vegetation and climate variability in north west Iberia during the last glacial stage” Supervisors: N.J. Shackleton, P.C. Tzedakis.
• 1992-1995: Royal Holloway University of London BSc 1st class joint honours in Geology and Zoology.
