Notes
- I met Mike and Kenny and we quickly got down to business:
- I outlined MoSeS and gave some background on HYDRA.
- Mike made it clear that the main objective for meeting is to help Mike draft deliverable specification documents.
- Additionally we want to know what Kenny wants.
- I mentioned SEE-GEO and that we are hoping to use security based on what Richard Sinnott work with JSR-168 portlets.
- I showed off my web pages and explained how I'm using a blog to keep track of what I'm doing:
- Kenny thought this was a good idea :)
- shebangs
- Shiv Kaushal's old home page at Manchester
- P-GRADE Portal MPI execution in Globus and gLite grid environments
- Wei Jie (sp?) has just taken post at NCeSS and is a security expert.
- Kenny outlines his thoughts on developing Learning Objects based on MoSeS:
- Kenny to draft and circulate a document
- Mark arrives :)
- We are informed that Kenny will start work on WP7 of e-Infrastructure in September.
- Discussion about timing.
- What do the deliverables mean?
- Talk of replacing GROWL with GAM or GWS.
- I mention the GeoLinking IE work and suggest it might be an additional deliverable...
- Mike suggested that this could possibly be resources from 2 workpackages for which resources are unassigned :-)
- Mark gave his slant :)
- By way of background he outlined MoSeS focussing on the demographic model and applications.
- We are aiming so as to allow any demographic dataset to be linked.
- We are aiming to work with Policy Grid to operate in the same way (integrate).
- Deliverables discussion:
- D4.1.1
- Grid enable the MoSeS population reconstruction<./li>
- D4.1.2
- Repackaged version of MoSeS portlets.
- D4.1.3
- Considered linking on "age" when these variables are often very different.
- Links to archive: the result is interesting because x, y, z
- Two parts of MoSeS archive:
- Full results for full statistical comparison.
- Provenance and/or compressed results data.
- Question for Paul: Are we planning to use RDF/Dublin Core for the MoSeS archive?
- D4.1.4
- D4.1.5
- Need for a meeting with Mike, Mark, Pete Edwards and Andy to discuss draft deliverable specification
- Mike to draft and circulate deliverable specification for 4.1 (hopefully) before the project meeting on 2007-03-09
