Notes
- Preparation for AHM
- Major concern about client still being unavailable:
- This is to be treated as an emergency and Andy to contact Paul by mobile phone.
- We all have a digital copy of the poster which will be hung nearby a screen on the demo stands.
- Chris's plan for the first demo:
- Start with a general statement about what SEE-GEO is about and point to SEE-GEO Website.
- State that we have grid enabled an existing data infrastructure not built a new one from scratch.
- Introduce the OGC and point to the OGC Website.
- Describe the OGC Process of Interporability Experiments
- Outline the GeoLinking Interporability Experiment.
- Show some geodemographic data possibly using GeoVUE GoogleMapCreator to provide example of how the output can be layered into useful/interesting maps.
- Run the demo by connecting to the MoSeS Client:
- Outline important parameters
- Test
- When the resulting map image is returned, ask audience to use imagination as to how this can be layered with contextual data.
- Perhaps at this stage it might be worth showing some of the XML sent and returned to convince the audience that it is really working.
- Next talk about security:
- https done by Junaid
- Describe implemnetation of Shibboleth to discriminate between users and what data they can access.
- Mention that we are looking into PERMIS and VOMS and making this work compatible with OGC AAA which is under development.
- Plug John's GLASS talk and Paul's MoSeS talk scheduled at the same time in Wednesday 11:00 to 12:15 Parallel Session 3, Auditorium and Conference Room 1 respectively.
- Pascal and Chris plan to meet for dinner on Monday night.
