Present: Michael Koutroumpas (MK), Chris Higgins (CH), Dave Rawnsley (DR), Ally Hume (AH), John Watt (JW) Apologies: Paul Townend (PT), Keith Cole (KC), Gail Millin (GM), Pascal Ekin (PE), Andy Turner (AT) CH kicked off with observing that there are a mere 15 days till the AHM in Nottingham. MK reported that geolinking benchmarking using v2 OGSA-DAI was completed but that the v3 benchmarking was a while off yet. The reason for this is that porting the code to v3 was taking longer than expected as this version is a major rewrite. AH offered to facilitate if MK thought he could help speed things up. MK is also working on making this version of the WPS asynchronous. This is a background task as not required for standards compliance (its optional). CH reported that the latest version of the Consortium Agreement had been available for comment for 3 weeks now and nobody has made further comments. Will make some phone calls and begin circulating hardcopy for signatures. Action: CH to circulate hardcopy of Consortium Agreement for signing Demonstrating geolinking (30 min slots) at AHM in Notts 11-13 Sept. Anticipating 15-20 mins worth of talking (laptop, screen and supporting poster) with 5-10 mins of questions. Various key individuals limited availability: - PT: away from 22/8 till 10/9 - MK: away from 24/8 till 17/9. - AT: away till 3/9 but will not be at AHM Action: CH to organise cover at EDINA during MKs absence PE, CH, AH, JW, PT will all be at AHM 11-13 Sept. CH reported that we have secured two back to back slots on the JISC stand on Tues 11th Sept 1245-1400. PE, PT, JW and possibly AH have all indicated available to give demos. As also discussed previously, CH suggested that we try to arrange demos on other stands on the other AHM days, something like: - Tues 11th JISC (CH/PE) - Wed 12th WRG (PT) - Thu 13th NeSC (JW or AH) Action: CH to confirm 100% this is possible and people available. In the run up to AHM, a schedule similar to the following was proposed by CH: - Tues 21st Aug. CH initiates A0 poster creation (basically the high level architecture with text boxes and logos). Meeting with graphic designer was organised weeks ago and time allocated. - 24th CH meets with JW and Rich Sinnott to discuss the security content. This is currently the weakest part of the demo. - 31st Aug. Draft of poster should be ready (might be quicker). CH circulates for comment by Tues 4th Sept. - 6th Sept. Poster finished. CH circulates and we have a telecon where all demonstrators run through the basic demo. The meeting closed with a report by JW on progress with the work Junaid has been doing on Shibb protecting the client. This is almost complete and includes a level of authorisation based on Shibb attributes. JW will be making reference to SEE-GEO during AHM demos of the wider work NeSC Glasgow has been doing in this area. Action: CH/JW to run through a basic demo on Fri 24th with Rich Sinnott to explore how security issues may be presented, especially the OGC angle.
