This is a record of a telecon held today between 1400 and 1440. Present: Andy Turner (AT), Michael Koutroumpas (MK), Chris Higgins (CH), Dave Rawnsley (DR), Gail Millin (GM), Paul Townend (PT) Apologies: Keith Cole (KC), Pascal Ekin (PE), John Watt (JW) CH opened with the observation that we have now "officially" finished development and are now entering the testing with other IE participants phase. Though note that the IE organisers understand that this software is in flux and not production strength. MK gave a report on where we are with the GLS. We have been testing and benchmarking with a view to submitting a paper to ACMGIS 2007. Note that we are using OGSA-DAI v2.2 and there are threading improvements in the new version of OGSA-DAI that we are going to want to exploit. This means that we are going to need to back port the modifications we have made at some point. AT commented that it would be good to test with multiple datasets. Action: MK to distribute to All for comment details of the EDINA tests. There is interest in this and we may get some additional suggestions. Noted that this may be of particular interest to PE. DR reported that the additional data for additional areas action not yet completed. Will complete asap. PT/AT reported on progress with the GLS. PT has created a generic geolink portlet and would like to test with UK data. Action: EDINA to send to MIMAS a note of necessary (and hopefully trivial) configuration changes to pick up the EDINA "framework" geographies. Discussion on whether the GLS client should pass in an SLD or better doing styling on the client side. The Leeds preference is for the latter and as we are out of time (in terms of the IE) and its less work all round the decision was taken to cease developing any SLD capability within the current demonstrator. Some discussion of useful potentially useful additions to the spec, eg, return a raster image which can be used as mask, a pie chart. Action: All, please take note of these thoughts at they occur as they should be fed into the write up in a few weeks. CH will send round drafts, eg, MK pointed out utility of an additional parameter to allow a choice of WFS/GDAS. Canadians have already have a similar extension and have added a parameter that allows Minnesota MapServer control over styling. CH requested input for an email to Peter Schut outlining components the SEE-GEO team can make available for interoperability testing. All components are to be made available. Action: CH to mail Peter Schut Ongoing actions: Action: CH to synthesize security discussions and document. Action: CH to complete CA and circulate Action: AH to examine issues raised by PE in relation to OGSA-DAI performance and respond. Current status: Ongoing, will happen when OGSA-DAI team get next release out. Action: PE to examine the potential for automatically generating GDAS metadata when over in June.
