Throat Singing

Throat singing, or Khöömei, is one of the greatest sounds of the world. It's a form of chanting which sounds like someone droning and whistling at the same time, and comes from the Autonomous Republic of Tuva. Tuva is stuffed between Siberia and Mongolia, has a quasi-nomadic population with a mixed Buddist and Shamanistic belief system, and is widely regarded as the centre of Asia.
