Masters Programmes: File uploads

This section will briefly discuss uploading files to the VLE.

It will cover:

Uploading to the VLE

The process for submitting your work will vary depending on the assessment. You'll be asked to hand some things in on paper, upload some things to assessment areas of the VLE, and some things will be uploaded into the TurnItIn area of the VLE. You'll do the latter in the next couple of days. TurnItIn is a piece of software for managing academic assessment submissions, and checks for plagiarism against a wide variety of online and offline resources, along with essay banks and other student work. In general, the upload process looks something like this:

1. Go to the Minerva VLE (https://minerva.leeds.ac.uk/) and access the module area.
2. Find the assessment / assessment upload area.
4. Choose the 'Single file upload' option in the paper item submission method box (if it is a single file).
5. Select your name from the Author drop down box.
6. Give your submission a title making sure you include your name: i.e. family name_week1essay
7. Use the browse button to find your file that you wish to upload and click on Upload.
8. Review the file and click on the 'Submit' button to finalise the submission. You will then receive a digital receipt - KEEP THE RECEIPT SAFE.
