… to be held in Port Elizabeth, South
Africa, from 2 to 8 November 2001, is a focused and goal oriented
conference, this time with a truly African flavour -
many of the workshops, lectures and cultural programmes will pulse to the
heartbeat of the continent, and highlight wilderness issues of the richly
diverse, cultural and historical region where it is to be held.
Proposed topics include: wilderness and indigenous cultures, personal growth and wilderness therapy, Peace Parks, protected areas and management issues, and the value of Wilderness areas to eco and African tourism. The WWCs provide a unique forum for a variety of people to meet, from world famous conservationists to ordinary citizens with a passion for the outdoors.
The registration fee is £300 per delegate excluding flights, and ‘add on’ packages are available, from guided Wilderness Trails to Bush Skills Courses or simply chilling out on the beautiful Cape beaches.
