Rebecca Massey, BA Geography 2011

Rebecca Massey

Having had no idea what I wanted to do after university, the opportunity to study a wide range of topics was one of the most appealing things about the Leeds Human Geography course. The flexibility and teaching methods helped develop a wide range of skills ideally suited to graduate employment. When faced with job applications demanding evidence of a broad skills base, I had no problem finding examples from my time at Leeds.

Leeds School of Geography is well respected in the wider academic and graduate employment sector, and a degree from the School adds a distinct cachet to a CV. Thanks to this, and the attributes I developed whilst at Leeds, I graduated with a place on the Economic and Social Research Council’s graduate scheme, and now am permanently employed as a Policy Manager.
